The Stone Center, in association with the University Library presents He was a Poem: A Gathering in the Tradition, a program honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The program will honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr through music and poetry with performances by Bradley Simmons, director of the Duke University Djembe Ensemble, Michael and Lita Simanga, Atlanta-based poets and authors, Kim Arrington, a singer and spoken word artist and Donovan Livingston, a UNC junior and spoken word artist. Refreshments will be provided.
