The Hekima Film Discussion Series is the Stone Center's lunchtime discussions about films from across the African diaspora. The films selected for the series focus around the Center's fall theme: Passion and Remembrance: Dislocation/Relocation/Diaspora (D/R/D).
In Kwame, a former captain in the Ghanaian Army lives a reclusive life in Los Angeles after being exiled to America after a Coup d’Etat he opposed. As he deals with feelings of living in a strange country, he also harbors anger over a betrayal he feels at the hands of his native land.
Lunch will be provided by the Stone Center.
